Last March, the internet went bananas when Facebook surprised its users with a secret basketball game hidden in Messenger. Now back in the midst of March Madness 2017, there has never been a better time to learn a few Facebook Messenger basketball game tricks and hacks to beat last year's high score! Whether you've joined a league or are just excited for some renewed college rivalries, Messenger's surprisingly fun Easter egg will get you pumped for the season without the expense of booking tickets to an actual game.
No need to lace up your sneakers to play Facebook's basketball game; once you've updated your Facebook messenger app, simply start a conversation with a friend and send them a basketball emoji. Then, tap on the sporty emoji, and you're ready to play! Swipe your finger in a upwards motion to shoot the cartoon basketball through the hoop. The addictive game may seem simple, but a few important tips can separate the pros from the rest of the pack. Just like in the actual sport, Facebook's basketball game is all about proper form, as the shots are pretty much free throws. (Thankfully, there is no dribbling involved).
Check out these tips next time go for that new high score and improve your chances. And remember: If you crush your friend's previous number of shots made, there's no need to let good sportsmanship hold you back from sending a few competitive memes their way.
1
Use The Correct Finger For The Best Control

It may just be an internet game, but getting your technique down is just as important for success as playing the real thing. While it may be more comfortable to play the game with one hand, flicking your thumb is not the best for aiming. Instead, using your dexterous index finger will lead to more accurate shooting.
Pro tip: To further stabilize the phone, place it on a flat surface (like a table or desk) instead of holding it with you other hand. If it has a curved back, keep it in place with an easily removable putty or tape.
2
Use Longer Swipes
For further accuracy in your shooting, it helps to employ longer swipes of the finger instead of short flicks. Touch the basketball icon with your index finger and swipe it passed the net and further than you feel is necessary. This technique will aid you in making straight shots; however, once the basket starts moving at higher levels you may need to shorten the duration of your swipe.
3
Harness The Powers Of Geometry

It's a truth universally acknowledged that once a game is introduced to the internet, the internet must find a way to beat it, and this basketball game is no exception. Nearly as soon as Facebook users discovered the game, videos started popping up on YouTube showing you how to cheat at it. The most common way to rack up a mind-blowing score and impress friends is by using a straight edge, like a ruler, to guide you as you toss the ball. Place it flat on the screen of your smartphone and adjust the angle from the ball to the basket. This mobile game is frustratingly difficult, though,so if you make 100 baskets, your friends may start getting suspicious...
4
Understand The Levels

One of the best ways to improve you score is to understand what you're up against. The basket is stable when you start playing, making it easy to aim and score. However, once you pass 10 hoops made, the basket will start moving slowly from side to side. There is no time limit to be conscious of, so the best strategy is to wait for the basket to re-align with the ball before flicking it. After 20 hoops made, the basket will move faster. Once you pass 30, things get quite a bit more difficult when the backboard will move in a diamond pattern around the screen.
5
Start Your Swipe In The Best Location
Finally, Moba Games Unlimited recommends placing your finger between the center and bottom of the basketball icon for a reliable straight shot.
With a stable phone, patience when lining up a shot, and a good shooting technique and you'll be racking up those high scores in no time!

UVA’s point total was the most since scoring 103 vs. Central Connecticut State during the 2017-18 season and it marked the first time UVA pulled down 60 rebounds in a contest since 63 vs. Alabama in 2012-13.
The Cavaliers took advantage of the Retrievers poor first-half shooting performance to jump out to a 50-21 halftime advantage led by Sam Brunelle’s 13 first-half points. UVA dominated the paint in the opening 20 minutes, scoring 30 of its first-half points inside and pulling down 10 offensive rebounds as it outrebounded UMBC by a 32-18 margin.
HOW IT HAPPENED Virginia jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead following a layup and three-pointer by Sam Brunelle on back-to-back possessions. UVA’s defense limited UMBC without a basketball for a 5:36 stretch in the opening quarter as the Retrievers missed on all seven three-point attempts in the opening quarter that ended with a 28-18 Cavalier lead. UVA outrebounded UMBC 17-8 in the opening period.
The Cavaliers used a 19-0 scoring run during the second quarter to put the contest away. UMBC went scoreless for 7:02 during the quarter before converting their only field goal (in 15 attempts) of the period at the buzzer. UVA outscored the Retrievers 22-3 to take a 50-21 lead into halftime.
Virginia scored 64 of its points in the paint including 27 off of fast breaks thanks in part to its impressive performance on the boards.

UVA doubled UMBC in rebounding, pulling down 65 boards to 32 for the Retrievers
The Cavaliers generated 47 points from their bench and scored 27 of their points on fast breaks.

FROM HEAD COACH AMAKA AGUGUA-HAMILTON
“I’m very proud of our team and how we played. We talked a lot about being consistent and just locking into the game plan, no matter if we are up by 40 or if it’s a tied game. I’m happy to see that we did that one through 11. This is the first game all year that we’ve had all 11 people out there, even in practice. It felt great to have our whole team and the energy that they brought.”
ON THE HORIZON
Virginia hosts Wake Forest on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. It will be the earliest ACC game in program history.

There are no special download links for these games. To access games, you need to open Facebook Messenger and find the game you want to play.
1. Uno
The classic Uno card game that probably caused a lot of arguments between you and your siblings is available as a game on Facebook Messenger.
Programs for Windows, mobile applications, games - EVERYTHING is FREE, in our closed telegram channel - Subscribe :)
For the uninitiated: Uno is a card game in which the main objective is to get rid of all the cards in the hand before the opponents can do so .
The game uses a special deck of cards created specifically for the game and includes several unique cards such as Skip, Reverse, Draw Two, Draw Four and Wild .
With Uno on Facebook Messenger you can relive your childhood memories and play with your old friends, even if they are far away.
2. Words With Friends
Words With Friends is another great game I played back in college. The game is a classic Scrabble word game, but instead of playing it on a board, you can play it virtually with your friends.
In the game you need to fill the board with words using the letters in the bag of tiles, and for each word you play you get some points, depending on the letters used and the tiles you place them on.
The game is both a great test of vocabulary and strategy, and is a fun game to play whenever you have free time.
3. Ludo King
Ludo King is another great board game that you can play online with friends and family. Up to 4 people can participate in the game , where each player is assigned a color and four corresponding pieces.
The object of the game is to move all your pieces on the board once and get to the tile between them. This is may seem very simple, but can be very frustrating because other players can send you back home if they land on the same tile as you. If you haven't played Ludo before, you should definitely try Ludo King on Facebook Messenger.
4. Basketball.
Next is a really simple and straightforward game called "Basketball", in which the main goal is to repeatedly throw a basketball ball into ring until you miss .
The number of consecutive hits becomes your score, and your Facebook friends can try to beat that score in turn. The game seems pretty simple, but since the basket is constantly changing position, you need to play at least a couple of games to get familiar with the touch controls.
While it's available as a standalone game on Messenger, you can even activate it by sending someone a basketball emoji and tapping it multiple times.
5. 8 Ball Pool
The popular virtual pool game 8 Ball Pool is also available on Facebook Messenger, allowing you to quickly play pool with your Facebook friends. You can choose from three different game modes, including 8 Ball Pool, 9 Ball Pool and Quick Fire mode.
While you can only play 8 Ball Pool and 9 Ball Pool with a friend, you can play Quick Fire by yourself to brush up on your pool skills.
6. Draw Something
Draw Something is another great classic called Pictionary remastered into a digital game for Facebook Messenger.
The game tests your drawing skills by giving you a random word to draw, then drawing is sent to whoever you're playing the game with and they have to guess that you drew correctly.
Don't worry if you're not too confident in your drawing skills, because bad drawings can cause great reactions.
7. Quiz Planet
Are you a fan of quizzes? Then you should try Quiz Planet, a fun quiz game that you can play with your friends. You can choose from a variety of topics and challenge your friends by answering questions by topic.
Both you and your friends are asked the same questions, and you must answer them within the allotted time. At the end of the quiz, you can compare your results and find out who won. The game can be played even when none of your friends are online, as the game records your answers and compares them with your friends when they finally submit their answers.
8. EverWing
EverWing is an arcade-style shooting game in which you control a fairy who shoots bullets in waves as waves of monsters go their way. The controls of are quite simple, you just need to control the movement, but you need to have a quick reaction, otherwise you risk crashing into one of the monsters.
All the monsters you successfully explode drop coins, and you need to collect these coins as well as dodge incoming projectiles. EverWing is game for single player, but it has a leaderboard where you can compare your high scores with those of your friends.
9. Ninja Go
Ninja Go is a simple and addictive puzzle game in which you play as a ninja who must collect the dots scattered throughout the different levels.
The controls are pretty easy to pick up, you just need to swipe in the direction you want to go, but the levels get progressively more difficult and include more obstacles so this is a real challenge.
To beat the game, you need to have ninja swipe skills, otherwise you can just die from the ever-increasing number of obstacles.
10. Hanger
Hanger is a silly little game very similar to Flappy Bird; no, you don't control a flying bird, the game is just very frustrating. In the game, you play as a guy who has to get Spider-Man through obstacles by hanging and swinging from the ceiling of .
While it may seem simple, the game is incredibly hard to master and will have you pulling out your own (or someone else's) hair in no time. Try Hanger if you're looking for a mindless casual game to pass the time.
11. Connect the Dots
Have you played Flow on Android? Well, Connect the Dots is just something that has a different name. The main goal of the game, as the name suggests, is to connect dots of the same color on the checkered board.
All you have to do to connect the dots is draw a line between the dots, however be careful with the path you choose or you won't be able to connect some of the dots on the board.
While the first levels may seem really easy, the later levels can definitely be a challenge and you will need to strategically plan each level before drawing your first line.
12. Stone Dash
Stone Dash is a really simple arcade game where you have to blast stones of the same color .
The more stones you blow up at once, the more points you get. Each level has a leaderboard and your goal is to score as many points as possible to take first place.
While you can randomly click anywhere to break blocks and collect points, you'll need to build combos strategically if you really want to get on the leaderboard.
13. Chess
You can even play a quick game of Chess in Messenger, a great adaptation of the popular game with many different game modes. The game offers easy daily puzzles where a pair of chess pieces are placed on the board and you have to win the game.
There are Blitz mode where you get one minute per turn , Time Attack mode where you can play fast 5 minute games and Classic mode where the move limit is set to 48 hours . If none of your friends are willing to play chess with you, you can also play against random strangers online, which is a good option.
14. Golden Boot
If you're a football fan, you should definitely try Golden Boot, a simple Facebook Messenger football game that requires you to take free kicks from different angles and score a goal to score .
The goal post is divided into several different zones, each of which gives a different number of points if you manage to get the ball through the zone. It's easy to score an empty net at first, but the game features defenders and a goalkeeper, making it even harder to score goals.
15. Last Knife
Last Knife is another fun game that tests your reaction. In the game you must throw knives at the spinning board and try to break it .
Each subsequent board can withstand more and more knives, so as you progress you will have to throw more knives at the board to break it.
This is not as easy as it might seem, because each subsequent board shows more and more knives already attached to the board, which you need to avoid . If you hit with a knife, the game will end and you will have to start over.
16. Space Invaders
Retro game enthusiasts must have heard of Space Invaders, a popular game from a bygone era that made its way onto Facebook Messenger. Space Invaders in Messenger is exactly like the original game, in which you control a spaceship that continuously fires missiles at a grid of aliens.
Your goal is quite simple: you have to destroy all the aliens before they get you, but again, despite the simple controls, the game itself is quite difficult to master.
17. Angry Birds
Most of you have already heard of Angry Birds and just in case, it's a simple game where you have to catapult various angry birds into some greedy pigs and destroy them.
Each stage features two different types of pigs, one for you and one for your opponents, and you must choose carefully which ones to kill or you might accidentally kill yours. The Facebook Messenger version of Angry Birds can be played against friends, which makes it much more engaging than the regular game.
18. 2048 Tetris
2048 and Tetris are definitely some of the best puzzle games out there, but Tetris 2048 is even better.
combines aspects from 2048 and Tetris into a mind-bending puzzle game in in which you have to arrange the falling blocks according to their numbers by combining blocks with the same numbers to get a higher number.
If you're having a hard time beating 2048 and Tetris, get ready for the ultimate test, because scoring decently in 2048 Tetris isn't easy.
19. Sonic Jump
Sonic Jump is a simple arcade-style game in which you play as Sonic the Hedgehog, who jumps from platform to platform to get as high as possible while avoiding annoying critters.
is very easy to learn and uses your smartphone's accelerometer to move Sonic left and right . On hard-to-reach platforms, you can even double-tap the screen to make Sonic jump higher. Sonic Jump is an exciting game that you can play in your free time.
20. Galaga
Rounding out the list is another classic game called Galaga, in which you control a spaceship that flies through a treacherous sky.
The objective of the game is quite simple: you must shoot your way through incoming enemy spaceships and projectiles to gain bonuses .
Your spaceship has a certain amount of health, so don't take too much damage or you'll have to go for it from the start.
