Players, Parents, Coaches, and GDYBL Supporters:

Welcome to the Groton/Dunstable Travel Basketball Program's (GDTB) homepage. We are proud of Groton Dunstable's long tradition of basketball excellence.  Our travel teams have won close to 20 Central Massachusetts Youth Basketball League titles and we pride ourselves in setting the standard for sportsmanship, dedication and teamwork.

The GDTB is administered by the Travel Board and is part of the GDYBL. Following are the current members of the GDTB Board of Directors:

Board Members

  • Sue Wynn, President
  • Dave Eisenklam, Vice President
  • Christine Muir, Treasurer
  • Nicola Barry, Registrar, Equipment & Uniforms
  • Joe Fiorentino, Director of Facilities & Scheduling

Whereas all interested children can participate in the recreation league with relatively equal playing, the travel program is competitive with playing time that may not be balanced and its participants are chosen through a selection process. Tryouts are offered to everyone living in Groton or Dunstable of the appropriate age and grade level, as well as to students who school choice to Groton Dunstable Regional School District.

A committee of coaches, parents, and Board members selects the teams. The Travel Board chooses the travel coaches. The travel teams compete in the Central Mass Youth Basketball League (CMYBL). For an overview of the CMYBL, click here.

The Travel Program currently offers nine teams:

  • Boys 4th/5th
  • Girls 4th/5th
  • Boys 5th
