University of Kentucky wants to keep Calipari - Basketball

The University of Kentucky has begun negotiations with men's team coach John Calipari about a new agreement that would allow the specialist to be retained until the end of his career, according to ESPN.

Calipari is a candidate to replace sacked head coach Vinny Del Negro of Chicago.

"We have begun preliminary discussions to restructure his contract so that he remains the Kentucky coach until he decides to retire," Barnhart said.
