Kansas wins 2022 national title: Ranking the Jayhawks' all-time NCAA Tournament-winning teams
The Jayhawks won the NCAA championship by beating the Tar Heels on Monday, joining three other KU title-winning teams
By Jerry Palm

USATSI
NEW ORLEANS — Kansas won the national championship on Monday night with a thrilling 72-69 victory over North Carolina. It is the fourth title for the Jayhawks in ten championship games and the second for coach Bill Self. That ties him with Villanova coach Jay Wright for the most among active coaches.
The four Kansas titles have been spread out in different eras. The 2022 title came 14 years after the championship in 2008. That is the shortest time between championships for the Jayhawks.
Let's take a look at how this team ranks among the four Kansas national champions.
2008 - Kansas def. Memphis 75-68 in OT
Kansas entered the tournament as a No. 1 seed after finishing the regular season 31-3. Despite that, the Jayhawks were fourth in the final regular-season AP poll. They were part of the only NCAA Tournament in which all four No. 1 seeds made the Final Four. Kansas beat Memphis in overtime after a last second Mario Chalmers 3-pointer tied the game at the end of regulation. Kansas had seven future NBA players on that team, including all five starters.
1952 - Kansas def.
St. John's 80-63:
The 1952 Jayhawks finished the regular season 24-3 and 11-1 in the Big 8. The MOP of the NCAA Tournament that season was Kansas' Clyde Lovellette who averaged 35.3 points per game in the tournament. Lovellette played 11 seasons in the NBA and was a four-time All-Star.
2022 - Kansas def. North Carolina 72-69
The current Jayhawks were 28-6 in the regular season and the No. 1 seed in the South Region. They featured All-American Ochai Agbaji, who was the MOP of the tournament and a likely first-round draft pick in the upcoming NBA draft.
1988 - Kansas def. Oklahoma 83-79
This is arguably the most memorable of the Kansas championship team. Nicknamed Danny and the Miracles, the No. 6 seed Jayhawks made an unlikely run to a title behind the play of Danny Manning, who averaged 27.2 points per game. Manning had a 15-year NBA career and Kevin Pritchard also spent some time in the NBA. This is still the only No. 6 seed to win the NCAA Tournament.

Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy
MLB Kansas City Urban Youth Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the youth of Kansas City become the heroes of tomorrow through baseball, softball, academic and community activities.
Dayton Moore, general manager of the Kansas City Royals, and local authorities were the first to conceive the Academy. The academy came into being and opened in March 2018 with funding from Major League Baseball, influential figures in Kansas City, Missouri, and a large number of kind donors.
The primary purpose of the Academy is to enable young people in our community to learn baseball and softball skills and grow into morally good members of society.
The Academy's goal is to establish itself as the premier baseball and softball youth center in the Midwest, starting in the urban areas surrounding the famous 18th & Vine District.
Founded in the Paseo YMCA in 1920, the Negro National League has made significant changes to baseball history, and the Academy is just a block away. One block south of the Academy is the Negro League Baseball Museum.
The Academy strives to give our children a good experience. In addition to providing them with coaches and mentors who teach them baseball and softball techniques and serve as positive role models, we also educate players on what it means to be "Major League Citizens." We create a strong foundation for young people based on work ethic, leadership, duty, responsibility and moral ideals through our sports training, education and character development initiatives. The Academy's student-athletes will be able to develop the unwavering determination necessary for personal success thanks to the foundation.

League of Legends Basketball, whose primary purpose is to attract and host AAU-sanctioned competitive basketball competition for youth through our tournaments and leagues, is a subsidiary of the Legends Basketball Program, which also acts as its parent group.
League of Legends Basketball
Legend Status…
Rise Above Greatness and Excellence
For grades 3 to 12, League of Legends Basketball aims to create and manage a year round basketball program. Through our tournament and league structure, League of Legends offers a platform for young basketball teams to grow, achieve results, excel and develop in both teamwork and personal skills.
In addition, League of Legends Basketball will provide a college recruiting scene. In order to succeed in their future academic and basketball endeavors, they will observe and track athletes who develop year after year through scholarships. Our mission is to support basketball teams and players in competitive competition by advancing at all levels and using their skills to enable them to perform at the highest level possible.
Three things are the primary goal of League of Legends Basketball:
1.) The goal is to find, recruit, and create an environment where college evaluators can study potential athletes for college and institution scholarships. Recruiters can track the development of young athletes as they improve their basketball ability and go through years of training.
2.) League of Legends Basketball has decided to join the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) to run AAU sanctioned junior basketball events in our tournaments and to increase and expand the coverage of youth college scholarships. Our Super Regional Championships, where teams can compete in AAU World Class National Championships, are complemented by League of Legends competition.
3) League of Legends Basketball Super Regional Championship Invitational Tournaments and Games will be held. A forum for networking and attracting new professional teams to participate in local and regional tournaments will be provided by League of Legends Basketball in our district and region. Teams from our district and across the region will have the opportunity to compete in AAU National Championship tournaments through the League of Legends basketball organization as part of what is known as the "Super-Regional Link Without Borders."
i9 Sports South and West Johnson County, Kansas
Youth sports are back for kids with life-changing i9 Sports. Radical reform in youth sports can only be carried out by those who provide programming. So by focusing on these 10 significant changes to how our national youth sports leagues operate, we have taken the initiative to rebuild youth sports from the ground up:
FUN FIRST… We make youth sports fun for kids. This is the main reason why children play sports. And this forms the basis of the advantage of the i9.sports.
• INCLUSIVE… We believe that every child should have an equal chance to participate in youth sports, regardless of status, gender or race. Whether we're trying out or drafting, we can't say no to anyone, and our goal is to give every child an equal amount of play practice.
• SAFETY… We believe that an injury sustained while participating in youth sports should never be tolerated. The physical and psychological safety of our athletes is our top priority, and we provide only non-contact sports.
• DEVELOPMENT GUIDE We believe that age-appropriate sports programs allow children to develop in their own body, mind and interests. Our programs are designed for specific age groups and we provide our trainers with training schedules and training materials tailored to the physical and cognitive abilities of each age group.
• GOOD SPORTS BEHAVIOR… we think sport should be more than just talent and performance. At every practice and game, we encourage and teach a great team spirit that helps develop the player's personality.
• CONVENIENCE… We believe that participation in youth sports should be easy and should not interfere with the child or family's ability to lead a balanced life. Matches and training sessions take place on the same day. We do not organize mandatory fundraising or force parents to sell game concessions.
• SPORT CHOICE: In order for young people to choose their favorite sports and activities and grow physically literate, we believe that they should be able to try out different sports and activities. So in each of our national children's sports leagues, we offer a variety of sports, encourage participation in multiple sports, and rotate boys and girls in different places in the sports they choose.
• HEALTHY COMPETITION… we think it's part of being an adult to understand how to win or lose with equivalent pride. If it's age appropriate, we keep score but never let it get in the way of enjoyment.
• LEAGUE CULTURE… We think that creating a healthy atmosphere off the pitch starts with creating the same atmosphere on the sidelines. We urge all parents and coaches to sign a statement stating that youth sports are for children, not adults, and that at this age the enjoyment of the sport and the development of a love for it are more important than the result.
• HOLIDAY… We think that being a good teammate, playing sports, using your skills to the fullest and being successful all deserve recognition. Therefore, they are all revered and glorified.
HOW IS I9 SPORTS® DIFFERENT FROM OTHER YOUTH SPORTS LEAGUES?
Helping children succeed in life through sport® is our company's mission. We believe that youth sports programs for children under 15 years of age should be in line with the lifestyle of parents, and not vice versa. Parents need to be sure that their children will receive quality education and will have an equal chance to improve their abilities to the fullest, but in a way that does not force the child and family to pay attention to other aspects. their life goes on.
Families looking for a very combative environment with a culture of winning at all costs will not feel at home in our leagues. As we bring youth sports back to millions of kids across the country who just want to play sports for fun, our model is frankly leisure. This is the i9 Sports version.
Next Level Hoops Academy
All the aspiring student athletes who wanted to compete at the highest level formed the Next Level Basketball Academy with their interests in mind. At The Next Level Basketball Academy, we place great importance on meeting people where they are in terms of talent, confidence and skill before moving on. Because we genuinely care about each member's progress both on and off the court, we really enjoy developing strong relationships with each and every one of them.
The Next Level Basketball Academy is different from other programs in that we understand that while most student athletes share the desire to be the best, there is no set method that everyone can follow to achieve their goals. Through sport-specific IQ development and individual skill breakdowns, we cater to each individual where they are to help them reach the NEXT LEVEL as student-athletes.
Stutz Basketball Academy
We think that children do not train their basketball skills enough. So, the ONLY thing we want is for every member of the academy to play basketball to the best of their ability.
In addition to Coach Stutz's player development expertise, Stutz Basketball uses an MRI-like technique to analyze each player's patterns in order to best develop or rebuild them.
While we recognize and appreciate the need for teams among children, we have no ambition to create a team organization. In fact, we provide family rates as well as discounts for teams that bring many players.
Bill Stutz
Founder and head coach; prior to that, Bill was the director of the LeVo Sports Complex. In addition, he founded Enjoy the Game and was the regional director of the Kansas City Christian Athletes Fellowship.
Logan Stutz
Logan retired after an impressive playing career that saw him earn an NCAA D-II All American, lead the league in three different leagues and win the MVP award. He was the first-ever head coach and general manager of the Sudbury Five in the National Basketball League of Canada, served as an assistant coach for the Syrian national team, and is currently the interim director of player development for the Boston College men's basketball team.

KC Athletic Academy
Kansas City Athletic Academy aims to offer youth in the Kansas City metro area resources for sports, education, and life skills.
TEAM
Michael Rose-Ivey
I recognize the value of learning how to balance a challenging academic program with the responsibilities of an athlete because I was a former football player at the University of Nebraska. Proximity to the academic center, life skills center, and athletic facilities of the University of Nebraska was one of its attractions. Coaches and members of the academic team regularly discussed the academic progress of the athletes, which created a network of commitments.
Athletes often received opportunities to serve in their community from life skills staff who also helped athletes build relationships with alumni and local business owners. These programs have helped us think about our future outside of football and become versatile student athletes.
The Kansas City Athletic Academy will give young athletes the opportunity to grow in an environment similar to what I experienced in college. Young players will have access to speed, agility, weightlifting, and athletic training in addition to tutoring, ACT/SAT prep, academic advising, assistance at the NCAA Compliance Center, and life skills study guides. Athletes learn about topics like financial management, job interview manners, presentation skills and more in life skills courses. The Community Practice Center, which combines resources for academic, athletic and life skills, will help players in Kansas City become good both on and off the field.
The same performance information, services, facilities and programs often only available to professionals are available to all athletes at Homefield, regardless of age, skill level or area of interest.
So to place your order or find out more about our leagues or athlete development opportunities, stay in touch.

Playing basketball requires you to develop hand-eye-foot coordination while maintaining balance as you move. During the game, you need to move your body quickly when jumping, panning or changing direction.
Basketball requires motor skills such as shooting, passing and dribbling. You also practice rebounding and defense. Maintaining a strong body makes all of these movements easier to perform.

After training, these people increased their muscle mass and decreased their percentage of body fat.

Basketball is a game that requires spatial awareness. You need to know where you need to make the perfect shot or play defensively.
When you have space and body awareness, you will know exactly where you need to be when your teammate or opponent shoots or passes the ball. As your spatial awareness improves, it also helps to maintain balance.
9. Boosts confidence
One of the best things about playing basketball is that it really boosts your confidence. As your confidence grows, so does your confidence in your skills.
Self-confidence allows you to face life with an improved attitude towards life and has a positive effect on all aspects of your life.

Now one more thing to consider is consistent coverage. On average, a 6 foot tall guy has 8 feet of standing reach. However, this is also affected by things like shoulder width and construction.
Another thing to consider is your weight. While weight won't determine how high you need to jump, it will determine how much force you need to apply.
The NBA now has great dunkers up to 5ft 6in, but they had exceptional vertical jumps.
What you need to do is calculate your height, standing reach and weight and enter them into the website below.
