Step-by-Step Easy Basketball Drawing Tutorial
Basketballs are a fantastic object to draw for beginner and experienced artists alike. The perfectly round shape and lines on a basketball can pose a challenge to all artists. A slightly oval ball with crooked lines will lack the realism that many of us crave. To help you create that perfect shape of a basketball drawing, we begin the tutorial with a series of construction steps. These initial steps will set up the round shape and help you plan out the path of the signature lines on a basketball. Take a look at the basketball drawing outline below.
As you will see from the outline above, the last eight steps of the tutorial involve coloring and shading. For these coloring steps, you can use any medium that you choose. If you prefer to work with a more physical medium like acrylic paints or coloring pencils, then you can simply adjust the instructions to suit your process.
A digital drawing tablet is also a great medium for this drawing tutorial.
Step 1: Drawing a Perfect Circle
The first step of this realistic basketball drawing tutorial is arguably the hardest. Once you have your circular base, you can build off of it to create the lines on basketballs with ease.
A quick note, if you are working with a physical medium, we suggest using a light and easily erasable pencil for the construction steps. If you are using a digital medium, draw the construction steps on a separate layer to the final outline and details.
Begin by locating the center of your drawing area. Once you have found it, you can now draw a large circle. If you do not feel comfortable drawing a perfect circle by hand, try using any round object that you can find. You can easily trace this round object to get a perfect base for your easy basketball drawing.
Step 2: Create Quadrants in Your Basketball Shape
In this step, we are going to divide our base circle into four different quadrants. These divisions will help us to place the lines of basketballs in later steps. You can easily divide the circle into four quarters by drawing a center vertical line and center horizontal line.
Step 3: Adding More Gridlines
Continuing to set up the gridlines, simply draw two vertical lines on either side of the central division lines. This step is quick and easy.
Step 4: Finishing the Foundation Grid
To finish the grid, begin by drawing a rectangle that lines horizontally, with the top and bottom line sitting alongside the middle dividing line. Where these lines meet the edge of the circle, draw two short verticle lines to join them. For the vertical grid lines, do the same, by drawing two shorter lines connecting the outer two verticle lines.
This will achieve a full grid on the circle that will help us wrap the pattern lines around the ball.
Step 5: Drawing the Lines on Basketballs
In this step, you are going to begin using the grid to help you draw the signature lines on basketballs. Begin with the first strip that wraps around the ball from the upper left side to the bottom right side.
Step 6: Constructing the Second Strip
You can now draw the second line, curving up and around the top left segment of the basketball drawing. You want this second strip to run from the bottom left corner of the horizontal rectangle, and meet the edge of the circle in the segment between the two grid rectangles on the top right.
TIp: you want these two lines to cross just around the top left overlap of the two grid rectangles.
Step 7: Drawing the Third Basketball Strip
You can now draw the third strip. This one should curve up and away from the bottom of the basketball drawing, with the top being almost parallel to the first strip, and then back down to the right side of the basketball.
Step 8: Finishing the Lines on Basketballs
To finish the lines on your easy basketball drawing, create a shorter, slightly curved strip at the top left corner of the ball. This strip should curve underneath the other strip at this point.
Once completed you are ready to erase any still visible construction lines, grid lines, and overlapping lines.
We now begin to add details and texture to our easy basketball drawings. Along the right edges of the basketball, and along the lines of each strip, use small dots to create a realistic basketball texture.
Try to make the dotting more condensed around the edges of the ball, as this will help create a more three-dimensional and realistic basketball drawing.
Step 10: Applying a Base Color Coat to Your Basketball Drawing
For the base color coat, find a slightly brown-orange shade. Use a large regular brush and apply an even coat of this shade to the entire shape of your basketball drawing.
Step 11: Coloring the Lines on Basketball
For the signature basketball strips, you will need a smaller fine brush and some black paint. Using these tools, carefully trace the strips and fill them to create an even and dark coat.
Step 12: Contouring Your Realistic Basketball Drawing
In this step, you are going to use a soft blending brush and some black paint to create some contouring on your basketball drawing. Contouring is a fantastic way to add more dimension to a drawing. Apply a light layer of contouring to the edges of the basketball.
The strips on a basketball are slightly indented, so you can also apply thin strips of light contouring around the strips to emphasize this.
Step 13: Adding More Shading
In this step, you are simply going to emphasize the contouring from the last step in certain places. Use a soft brush and a little more black paint and enhance the contoured areas, particularly around the edge of the ball.
Step 14: Begin Highlighting Your Easy Basketball Drawing
The very left upper right side of the basketball will catch the light, emphasizing the three-dimensional nature of your basketball drawing. Using a soft brush and some white paint, lightly color this area. Once you have applied the white paint, use a clean brush to gently blend all of your colors together.
This blending technique will create a much smoother and more realistic transition between all of your colors.
Step 15: Strengthening Your Highlights
Now that you have the highlighted base, you can begin building up the intensity of the white color. Again, using a soft brush, apply highlights to the part of the ball where all of the strips converge. You can also add highlights to these parts of the black strips.
Step 16: Finishing Your Highlights and Shadows
Just before we finish our easy basketball drawing tutorial, you can now further emphasize your highlights and shadows. Use a fine brush and some white paint to add final highlight strips between the black lines. Finally, use a soft blending brush and some black paint to add a final layer of shading around the edges of the ball.
Step 17: Finishing Your Realistic Basketball Drawing
To complete this step, make use of a fine sharp brush and the corresponding color to trace the outline and inner texture lines to create a final seamless result without any visible dark outlines or texture lines. This helps us achieve a more natural look.
Complete the step by using a soft brush and black paint to apply a ground shadow.
Hopefully, by the end of this tutorial, you will have created a realistic basketball drawing with texture and contouring. Drawing a basketball is actually very easy when you break it down into simple steps, although it can seem intimidating at first. You now have all of the necessary drawing skills to draw many more types of balls, including tennis balls, soccer balls, and cricket balls.

How to draw a basketball: step by step
In this lesson you will learn how to draw a basketball. Of course, we will draw in a vector editor.
Leave the document dimensions unchanged. Let's get to work.
Step 1: Outline the Basketball
Draw with the Draw Circles, Ellipses and Arcs tool F5 a circle. Give it a black basketball outline stroke and a solid color fill of D96C29 .
You can set your own color for the ball. It doesn't have to be classic brown.
Make two copies of this path ( Ctrl+C/V ) and undo the outline. For the bottom copy, set the fill color to EEB58F . Offset the copies slightly relative to each other and, with both copies selected, apply Outline Difference .
This way we got a small highlight. It must be placed in the upper left of the basketball. You can draw it either larger or smaller. Pick your own.
Draw a shadow in the same way. First, copy the outline of the ball a couple of times, then shift relative to each other and apply the Outline-Difference.
For the shadow, set the fill color to C56324 . Place this outline on the lower right side of the ball. Of course, you can draw your own shadow shape.
Ok, now you can move on to the next step and draw the seams of the basketball. On real balls, you will not see seams; ball manufacturing technologies have changed a long time ago.
Step 2 Draw the Basketball's Seams
The next element we'll draw is to simulate the basketball's seams. There will be four in total.
Take the tool Draw Bezier curves and straight lines Shift+F6 and draw a black vertical line. Next, switch to the Editing mode of nodes and levers F2 and, hooking on the middle of the line, give it an arcuate shape.
Duplicate this line, change the color to white and drop below the black line Page Down . So the seam of the ball looks more impressive. Both lines can be grouped Ctrl+G.
Do the same for the horizontal line. It needs to be bent down. For this line, also create a white copy and lower it below the black one. Group both lines.
Draw the next seam on the left. The order of drawing a seam is similar to the first. Curve the vertical line towards the middle of the ball.
Draw the last seam on the right. Curve the line towards the center of the ball. Don't forget to group the lines.
At the end of the work, add a shadow under the ball. Dark brown color, elliptical shape.
If you wish, add an inscription or drawing to the ball. All is ready.

which depicts some kind of relief. Of course, a soccer ball is very different from a basketball, a basketball has a different weight, a different material, but they are drawn in almost the same way.
In this lesson we will not deal with the chiaroscuro of the ball, but to draw the ball it must be used. It will give the ball a more realistic look.
You can take a look at the picture below to brush up on your knowledge of ball chiaroscuro, and if you don't know anything about ball chiaroscuro, we recommend reading this article.
So let's start with the soccer ball.
How to draw a soccer ball
Stage 1 At the first stage, everything is simple. We draw a circle.
Stage 2 The most difficult stage is to draw dark polygons on the ball. We draw polygons as shown in the figure below. Since our ball is at an angle, we draw polygons at an angle.
Stage 3 In the third stage we need to connect the corners of the polygons of our soccer ball. To do this, draw lines between their corners. Please note that the lines should not be even, but slightly rounded, this will add volume to our ball.
Stage 4 In the final stage we apply chiaroscuro to our ball. How we did this, we will describe in the example with another ball.
Another way to draw a soccer ball
Since the polygons in a soccer ball are the hardest part, we want to dwell on it a bit. Let's analyze another version of drawing a soccer ball, but in a slightly different way.
Stage 1 Draw a circle.
Stage 2 Draw one polygon in the center. Like our previous ball, the polygon is at an angle.
Stage 3 The third stage is significantly different from the third stage in the previous example. If earlier we immediately drew other polygons by eye, then here we will have everything according to the rules.
Draw lines from each corner.
Stage 4 From the ends of the lines drawn in the previous stage, we draw two more lines in different directions, and we already have a soccer ball net.
Stage 5 Connecting lines with lines 🙂
Stage 6 And now we draw lines, as it were, beyond the edges of our ball.
Stage 7 In the last stage we color some polygons and get a soccer ball.
If you know how to apply chiaroscuro, you can apply it, and we will move on to it very soon.
The third option for drawing a soccer ball
It makes no sense to describe this ball in particular, in this example it is just another option for drawing a grid. Just look and choose the grid drawing option you like and use it.

Stage 7
Another small and fun version of how to draw a soccer ball.
Learn to draw a soccer ball with a shadow
It's time for chiaroscuro! We draw a soccer ball with chiaroscuro.
Stage 1 As before, draw a circle.
Stage 2 At the second stage we draw the polygon already familiar to us.
Stage 3 Draw three more polygons.
Stage 4 Starting from the polygons that we already have, we sketch the entire ball with polygons.
Stage 5 The fifth stage is the most interesting for us. This is where the light begins.
Shade the polygons that should be black. At the top of the polygon, the strokes should be darker than at the bottom, this will create an imitation of highlights and add volume to our soccer ball. We do not touch the white polygons, they will remain white.
After hatching the black squares, draw our own shadow on the ball in the lower left. In our example, the light falls on the ball from the upper right side. That is why the shadow is in the lower left of the ball. Own shadow is drawn in the form of a month, which smoothly flows from dark to light.
The last step is to draw the shadow of the ball on the ground. Such a shadow is drawn much simpler than the ball's own shadow. Just draw a narrow oval under the ball and that's it.
If you're struggling with shade, be sure to check out our article on chiaroscuro and try taking a ball with a flashlight. By spinning the flashlight around the ball, directing the light at different angles, you will definitely understand the whole meaning of chiaroscuro and how to draw it in the case of the ball.
Another chiaroscuro example
So, let's move on to the last example of drawing a soccer ball. It is also with chiaroscuro, but the way of drawing the ball itself is a bit unusual.
Stage 1 First, draw auxiliary lines, draw a square and divide it into equal parts.
Stage 2 Draw a circle using the guide lines.
Stage 3 Draw polygons. Previously, we have already drawn polygons in different ways, so we will not dwell on this topic.
Stage 4 At the last stage, shade the black polygons. Stroke from top to bottom. Since the light falls on our ball from the top left, the black polygons are darker at the bottom than at the top.
Shade the right side of the ball darker, because less light falls on it than on the left, and the bottom part needs to be made completely dark, because almost no light falls on it at all.
Draw a shadow under the ball.
We are done with the soccer balls and now we are going to draw the basketballs.
How to draw a basketball
It's time to learn how to draw a basketball. It is drawn in the same way as a soccer ball, like a regular ball. Therefore, we will not analyze in detail how to draw it.
Stage 1 Draw a circle and divide it with a rounded vertical line near the center.
Stage 2 And the second stage in drawing a basketball we can say is the last one 🙂 We draw three lines on the ball, we will not describe them, because looking at the picture below you will immediately understand everything.
In fact, our basketball is ready, but we'll still paint and apply chiaroscuro to it in the next step.
Stage 3 In our example, a fairly complex cartoonish chiaroscuro is used, so if this method of applying chiaroscuro seems too complicated for you, you can simply impose a shadow in the form of a month and that's it.
In our example, it's cartoonish chiaroscuro, so we paint the ball orange. We paint over the space between the lines with a darker tone, but not to the edges, especially a lot of free space should be left in the upper left part. Since the light falls on our ball from the top right, we need to paint the highlights with a lighter color.
Another step by step drawing of a basketball
Let's look at the step-by-step drawing of a basketball again, but with a slightly different kind of chiaroscuro.
Stage 1 Draw a circle and divide it into four parts with rounded lines.
Stage 2 Above and below our basketball, draw two lines typical for basketballs.
Stage 3 Now let's move on to chiaroscuro.
We paint over the entire ball with light hatching, but do not paint over the center of the ball, because the light will fall on it, and the unpainted area will be a glare.
Now we press harder on the pencil and paint over the entire surface of the ball, making the highlight spot lighter than the rest of the ball's surface. We make the left edge of the ball as dark as possible, since very little light hits it.
Our basketball drawing is ready 🙂
How to draw a volleyball: Wilson from Rogue
Yes, yes, if you watched the movie Cast Away, then you probably recognized this volleyball 🙂 A volleyball is drawn in the same way as a football, basketball, and any other ball, so let's draw a face on it.
Stage 1 Circle
Stage 2 Draw the following vertical lines on the sides.
Stage 3 At the third stage, draw horizontal and vertical lines.
Do not forget that they are not drawn evenly, but as if on the surface of the ball.
The only thing left to do is paint the ball and it will be ready, but we have an unusual ball, so let's move on to the next step!
Stage 4 Outline the contours of the faces.
Draw eyes, nose and mouth.
Stage 5 Our ball is ready.
It remains only to paint it with any colors and apply chiaroscuro in your favorite way.
Total
We hope you figured out how to draw a football, basketball and volleyball step by step with a pencil. As you noticed, they are all drawn in almost the same way, so in the same way you can draw absolutely any ball with any drawings on it.
Of course, you should definitely read the articles about chiaroscuro and about drawing a ball. Without them, drawing the ball will be quite difficult.
Share a good article 🙂

Using a compass, draw a circle on which you need to make the correct markup. Draw a concave vertical line.
Next, draw 3 horizontal lines with different directions. We follow the diagram shown in the figure below.
It remains to decorate the ball and everything is ready.
A tennis ball will fall slightly behind a basketball due to turbulence. As a result, the basketball will bounce off the surface first. Then there will be a head-on collision of balls, at a speed of approach about twice the speed of fall.
Then the tennis ball will bounce off the basketball at this double speed, due to the large difference in their masses. But relative to the surface, it will fly up at triple speed.
Therefore, it will jump to a height of about 9 m, taking into account the quadratic dependence of the speed on the height of the fall.
Most likely because people also have different sizes. Women also love to play basketball. Well, the weight of the balls, of course, is also different.
To start a drawing with a ball, a circle, an egg, in my opinion, it is never undesirable:
- first of all, it is clear that the head is a well-known geometric figure; there is no need to learn this and this recommendation is, in general, useless;
-Secondly, why draw an empty circle? to erase it in a minute?
It is better to do without haste, with dots or inconspicuous strokes at once What needs to be done. Namely, to draw the head of Stalin. Take a good picture and draw it. Even good artists do this. If we succeed in all this, then the first stage should be completed like this:
At the second stage, let's have a little rest, having outlined the collar and shoulder straps: The most important time has come. We must try to convey the facial features of Joseph Vissarionovich. Don't be discouraged if you don't do as well as I did.
After all, I used a ready-made picture, few people can do it so naturally by hand: So, in fact, the work is ready.
There are some insignia left for our generalissimo to shade and hang the portrait on the wall:
The Rzhev memorial is a sculpture and architectural complex erected and built with public money in the Tver region.
Located near the village of Khoroshevo, highway M-9.
The monument is dedicated to the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War in the battles near Rzhev.
You can get an idea about the complex by watching the video.
Or by studying photographs of a monument depicting a soldier.
You can draw the Rzhev memorial by redrawing directly from the photo or using a spotlight on the wall or transferring the outlines of the photo through carbon paper or glass.
Then work with a pencil.
You can also take a stylized image and remove its outline, paint over dark places.
First draw the contours of the portrait of Hitler. Since this man deserves only a caricature image, let's make him a woman's hairstyle. Now let's draw a collar and tie. Let's draw eyes, a mustache and start sketching Hitler with small strokes. These will be the shadows. In the end, we will draw the ear, add something in the hair. Hitler is ready. Kaput, so to speak.
How to draw a basketball
In this lesson we will look at how to draw a basketball with a pencil step by step. Basketball was created relatively recently, it happened in 1891, a physical education teacher came up with, seeing that students were very reluctant to do gymnastics with a ball. At that time there was nothing interesting when doing sports.
He attached some things to the two sides of the gym and divided the students into teams and said whoever threw the most balls into the basket would win. Since the students liked it, we decided to come up with rules and now we have such a popular sport.
At school and at the institute we also played basketball, passed some standards, but everyone liked volleyball more, we played it with pleasure, we didn’t even have to force it.
By the way, there is a lesson on how to draw a basketball player with a ball here if needed.
We need to draw a circle, you can take a compass, you can draw it by hand, or you can refer to the lesson on drawing a circle. Then we, as when drawing the head, find the middle with such curves.
Sketch the decorative lines and draw them.
Apply shadows to the basketball. First, the tone will be light, then along the edges we complement it with a darker one. You can then shade it so that there is a smooth transition of color.

How to draw a ball
It may seem very easy to draw a ball, but when you try it, it turns out that there are certain rules that must be followed. And if you want to draw the perfect ball, you need to know them.
In this tutorial I will show you how to draw a soccer ball, as well as baseball, basketball, volleyball, tennis and American football. Just follow my steps to draw any ball you want.
What you need
Since there will be a lot of geometry in these drawings, you will need precision tools:
ruler
compass
pencil
eraser (optional)
liner (optional)
1. How to draw a soccer ball
The soccer ball looks deceptively easy to draw, but it's actually not - it's a truncated icosahedron with 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons.
And all these pentagons and hexagons need to be nicely placed next to each other, so you can't just draw a hexagon and then place the rest of the shapes around - some geometry tricks are required.
Step 1
Use your ruler to draw the radius of the circle that will be the base for the ball. Draw all auxiliary lines without pressure, if you want to remove them later.
Step 2
Place the compass at the extreme point of the line and draw a circle.
Step 3
Use a ruler to divide the circle into quarters.
Step 4
Place the compass on the circle, on the outer point of the first line. Draw an arc through the center of the circle and its sides.
Step 5
Use this markup to draw a line that cuts the radius in half.
Step 6
Center the compass on the line and draw an arc that intersects the bottom of the circle and the horizontal diameter.
Step 7
Place the compass at the bottom point and draw an arc through this new point and the edge of the circle.
Step 8
Set the compass to the new extreme point and draw an arc down.
Pitch 9
Use your ruler to draw horizontal lines through these last two points.
Step 10
Place the compass in the center of the circle and draw a large circle near the edge of the circle, then a smaller one, and then the smallest one at a greater distance.
Step 11
Use a ruler to extend the lines from the center up to the points we drew on the circle.
Step 12
Connect the lines inside the small circle to make a pentagon.
Step 13
Use a ruler to draw lines parallel to each "arm" of the small pentagon.
We accidentally got a cute little star!
Step 14
We have created two sections next to each beam. Let's cut each one in half.
Step 15
Imagine the points at the intersection of the lines and connect them to create more pentagons, now in perspective.
Step 16
At the end, take the liner (or just press harder) to draw the dark final lines on top of the drawing. Outline the pentagons and hexagons with slightly rounded lines so that they look like thick separate pieces. Color all pentagons black.
2. How to draw a baseball
Step 1
Draw a circle with two perpendicular diameters as described in the previous section.
Step 2
Draw two symmetrical arcs at the top and bottom.
Step 3
Draw a similar arc above/below.
Step 4
Draw another arc on the opposite side, this time at a slightly greater distance.
Step 5
This is where the parts of the ball's surface come together. Draw a round "slice" between these parts.
Step 6
Draw holes along the top arc. Make them small and place them tighter and closer to the edge.
Step 7
Draw small arcs along the strip. Imagine that they go around a small "hump".
Step 8
Draw them on the other side too, keeping perspective in mind.
Step 9
Draw similar arcs on one side of each previous one.
Step 10
Add holes to them as well.
Step 11
Increase the thread.
Step 12
Draw small arcs between the individual parts of the surface to show how thick they are and how tightly connected they are.
Step 13
Finally, draw the lines you want to keep and erase the auxiliary ones.
3. How to Draw a Basketball
Step 1
Draw a circle with perpendicular diameters as shown in the previous sections.
Step 2
Draw a narrow ellipse around the horizontal diameter.
Step 3
Draw a rounded line from the bottom…
… and softly round the line towards the top.
Step 4
Do the same on the sides, but this time around the ball instead of going up.
Step 5
Circle each curve to create a thick stripe.
Step 6
Draw a "dent" on each stripe.
Step 7
Make the final lines brighter and erase the auxiliary ones.
4. How to draw a soccer ball
Step 1
Draw a circle with two perpendicular diameters as in the previous sections.
Step 2
Divide the top vertical radius into three parts.
Step 3
Take a compass and measure one of the three pieces. Use this length to draw circles on each side.
Step 4
Outline all the circles with one line to create the base of the soccer ball.
Step 5
Draw similar lines inside, top and bottom. Make them asymmetrical.
Step 6
Draw two thick stripes on the sides, going into perspective.
Step 7
Draw a strip next to the top line.
Step 8
Cut off part of this strip, about one third from the end.
Step 9
Draw a wide strip around it.
Step 10
Draw eight rounded lines along the strip, on the part we cut off earlier.
Step 11
Draw holes at each end of the lines.
Step 12
Draw string between the holes.
Step 13
Outline the seams around the laces.
Step 14
Draw the final dark lines and erase the auxiliary ones.
5. How to draw a volleyball
Step 1
Draw a circle with a horizontal diameter as described earlier.
Step 2
Place a compass on the outer end of the diameter and draw an arc through the center of the circle.
Step 3
Draw a vertical line along this marking.
Step 4
Connect both ends of this line to the center. Now we have three radii that divide the circle into thirds.
Step 5
Draw a curve over each radius.
Step 6
"Copy" the rhythm of each curve to the edge of the circle.
Step 7
Close each strip following the original curve with a rounded line.
Pitch
Outline the shape of the ball, creating indentations between the stripes.
Step 9
Finish the drawing by drawing the final lines and erasing the guide lines.
6. How to draw a tennis ball
Step 1
Draw a circle with perpendicular diameters as shown earlier.
Step 2
Draw a teardrop shape inside the circle.
Step 3
Draw a line towards the edge of the circle, starting at the point where the teardrop crosses the horizontal diameter.
Step 4
Draw a line on each side to create a stripe.
Step 5
Mark the surface a little around these stripes.
Step 6
Finish the ball by guiding the lines and wiping out the auxiliary ones. Don't forget to add a characteristic pile!

How to draw a soccer ball step by step with a pencil (110 pictures): an overview of simple ideas for beginners and children
Vklubochka Art School
Every boy loves football. But in our time, girls are also seriously addicted to it. And how fun it is to kick a ball with friends after school...
It would seem that what could be difficult in an ordinary ball? But not everything is so simple. The ball consists of leather pentagons connected to each other, and it is not at all easy to draw it.
Let's conduct a small master class for beginners, and also try to create a more complex image of this sports equipment
How to draw a ball with a pencil step by step
Drawing a soccer ball step by step is actually quite easy. Draw an even circle with a pencil.
The soccer ball is composed of pentagons and hexagons. Draw a pentagon in the center of the already created circle. See below picture.
Next, from each corner of the pentagon, draw lines of the same length. Use a ruler if you find it difficult to determine the length of the lines "by eye".
The following illustration shows how to draw the soccer ball further. From the end point of the line, draw two lines in different directions. Try to keep them the same length too.
Do the same for the rest of the lines coming from the pentagon.
There is very little left in drawing this lesson. We close the lines - we get hexagons. Study the following figure carefully. You should get one pentagon, and hexagons around it.
Then finish the drawing with lines going to the base of the circle. The text may seem complicated, but the drawings will tell you more - they clearly show how to draw a soccer ball. Study them carefully, and you should not have any difficulties in drawing.
The soccer ball is drawn! Color the pentagons with black as in the main drawing of the lesson!
Draw by cells
This time we offer to learn how to create a ball shape by cells. Our site megamaster.info previously told how to make drawings in this technique. For those who have studied our briefings, you will understand how easy it is. Beginning artists are encouraged to follow this instruction.
Prepare a black felt-tip pen, a sheet of checkered paper and start creating:
Slightly below the middle, hatch five cells horizontally.
Rise diagonally and paint over two divisions. We rise again and paint one cell. We add two more cells. Step back and hatch six squares.
Repeat hatching as done below. Upon completion, paint over five divisions on the upper side.
We carry out similar work with the right side.
In the upper left corner, paint over seven cells. We paint thirteen squares in the upper right corner. We go down almost to the bottom right and color eight cells. From this area we move to the left and paint 21 cells.
Here is the finished drawing. Now you can draw the silhouette in this way.
And there are other options for drawing on the cells of objects from minecraft
Pentagons
Drawing pentagon figures. Through the round shape of the ball, the pentagons throughout its area visually look different from different angles.
All pieces must hit the same size. To do this, use a ruler.
Add lines to fully convey the "pattern" of the soccer ball.

Cartoon soccer ball
Drawing a soccer ball can be fun for your little one too. Try to draw a cartoon soccer ball with your child, following the step-by-step instructions for children.
You will need:
Album,
Paints,
Pencil,
Eraser.
It is better to take acrylic paints, they are very bright and saturated.
Work order:
Start with the base of the ball, the circle. Place a glass or saucer on the sheet and circle.
Two hexagons and one pentagon must be placed on three equidistant sides of the circle.
Draw adjacent shapes to the already drawn shapes. Connect all cells together logically.
At the top of the ball, draw two cartoonish ovals for eyes. Draw pupils inside large ovals.
Draw a big smile at the bottom. From the top smile line to the bottom, draw three vertical lines. Got a great smile.
Below, separately from the ball, draw two elongated ovals, these will be the feet.
Connect the edges of the ball and the ovals with lines to form the legs. You can put them in boots, because it's a soccer ball.
Now draw the arms on the sides. You can draw fists in boxing gloves. Above the eyes with triangles, draw eyebrows. The drawing of the ball from the cartoon is ready, it remains only to add colors.
What you need
In order to draw a ball we may need:
Paper. It is better to take medium-grained special paper: it will be much more pleasant for novice artists to draw on this particular paper.
Sharpened pencils. I advise you to take several degrees of hardness, each must be used for different purposes.
Eraser.
Stick for rubbing hatching. You can use plain paper rolled into a cone. She will rub the shading, turning it into a monotonous color.
A little patience.
Good mood.
The easy way
Especially for beginning artists and those who want to learn how to depict sports attributes, we decided to start with a simple drawing. To organize this creative process, prepare a black marker, an album and an oil pastel.
If you are ready, let's start:
Create a large circle in the center of the sheet with a black marker. In the middle of the circle, approximately in the center, we draw one inclined line. Add another line to the bottom edge of the segment, but already directed to the right side.
Add the next stroke pointing up. To the upper side of this line, draw another segment and complete the creation of the figure with the fifth line. As a result, we get a figure that looks like a rhombus.
Add sticks of approximately the same size to all the obtained corners. Now, from each edge of the segments, we draw two more faces in different directions. If you get unfinished segments, complete them so that they connect to the inner border of the circle.
We connect the remaining sides with straight lines. Draw smaller pentagons with a thicker line. How to draw a ball in a simple way figured out.
Now everything needs to be colorized correctly to get a more natural look of the image. To do this, take a black chalk. With this small shade we shade all the figures. At this stage, the main thing is to be careful and not confuse the squares. Colors alternate in turn. If you mix it up, the image will turn out unnatural. Gray shade the white cells.
How to Draw a Basketball - Step by Step Drawing Tutorials
Basketball is the only mobile equipment needed to play the Basketball game. Basketball has become an American icon; in fact, it is the only major sport that originated entirely in America.
Basketball is a relatively young sport. In 1891, a physical education teacher at a college in Massachusetts was instructed to develop a new game "for the amusement of schoolchildren in the winter." The teacher organized eighteen young people into two teams and appointed team captains for each.
The first basketball game was played with a soccer ball; the targets consisted of half-bushel-sized peach baskets that hung at each end of the gymnasium. During the game, the guys scored only one point.
The first basketball baskets had bottoms; The referees were supposed to pick up the balls when the basket was made. By the early 1900s, the first string nets were being used. Early basketballs were made from leather, which worked well on indoor courts but was damaged by the asphalt surface of outdoor courts. By the 1990s, most consumer basketballs were made from rubber or other durable materials to alleviate this problem.
Did you know? Warm basketballs bounce better than cold ones because materials are more flexible in warm conditions. Professional basketball should be able to bounce about four feet when dropped from a height of six feet. Today, basketball is a symbol of both the sport and athletics in general.
Dive into the game and hone your skills with this easy, step-by-step basketball lesson. All you need is a pencil, a piece of paper and an eraser. You can also use markers, crayons, crayons or whatever to shade your finished basketball!.

Basketball Step by Step Instructions
1. Start by drawing a circle. This outlines the shape of basketball.
2. Draw a curved line across the basketball, not in the center but close to one side. This is the first edge of the ball or recessed lines.
3. Draw another curved line going in the opposite direction and intersecting the first one at a perpendicular angle. This is the second edge of the ball.
4. Draw a curved line from the side of the basketball to a vertical curved line, forming another edge.
OTHER EASY DRAWING GUIDES:
5. Continue the edge drawn in the previous step on the other side of the vertical line, attaching it to the edge of the ball on the opposite side.
6. Next, draw a curved rib line below the horizontal line, extending from the side of the ball to the vertical rib line.
7. Continue the line on the other side of the vertical rib, continuing towards the ball.
8. Next, you'll specify the depth of the recessed lines, giving the ball a three-dimensional look. To do this, draw a curved line parallel to the vertical and horizontal lines of the ribs.
OTHER EASY DRAWING GUIDES:
9. Draw curved lines parallel to those of the upper and lower ribs. Then, carefully erase the guide lines from the dots that the lines intersect each other with.
