Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire: Week 23

De’Andre Hunter has been putting up numbers down the stretch and could be a nice late-season pickup.

Each and every week, we’ll look at players that you should consider picking up who are rostered in four different rostership tiers:

50-60%
30-49%
15-29%
0-14%

What’s more, we’ll give you a breakdown of how many games each team has for the upcoming week so that you can maximize the minutes of your streamers. We’ll be keeping playoffs in mind with this week’s crop of players.

Without further delay, let’s get to it, starting with the schedule and offensive pace ratings, thanks to our friends at Razzball.

View optimal lineups, waiver and trade suggestions, and league analysis >>

Four games:

BKN, CHA, CHI, DAL, DET, GSW, HOU, MIA, MIN, NOR, NYK, PHI. POR, UTA, WAS

Three games:

ATL, BOS, CLE, DEN, IND, LAL, MEM, MIL, OKC, ORL, PHX, TOR

Rostered in 50-60% of leagues:

De’Andre Hunter (SF/PF – ATL): 52%

Atlanta losing John Collins is just another L in a lost season for them.

One player who has benefitted from Collins’ absence is Hunter, who has put up 10th-round value over the last two weeks.

He’s hit double-digits in points in all but one game since February 26, and in three of his last four games, he’s hit at least three three-pointers.

Hunter should continue to carry his momentum forward down the final stretch.

Marvin Bagley III (PF/C – DET): 57%

Bagley is better suited for points leagues, but he’s posting 10th-round value over the last couple of weeks.

Since March 4 – seven games – Bagley has scored in double-digits in seven of eight games and has a double-double in three of those.

In the last month, he’s averaging 7.6 boards per game, and the Pistons are playing him big minutes. Of course, as we saw in his two-point effort in 14 minutes Saturday, we’ll still get some disappointments from him, but he should be rostered in all 12-team leagues by now.

Rostered in 30-49% of leagues:

Herb Jones (SF/PF – NOP): 49%

If Jones doesn’t make first-team All-Rookie team, then there is a conspiracy out there, I do declare.

Jones broke out for a big 22-point performance recently, but it’s the steals that fantasy managers should want from him.

He has at least one steal in 10 of his last 11 games, making him an under-rostered fantasy player.

Drew Eubanks (PF/C – POR): 40%

The Trail Blazers are doing their part to tank as hard as they can, but it’s allowing some afterthoughts to have fantasy value, thanks to their volume. The latest is Eubanks.

Eubanks has played at least 30 minutes in three of his last four games, and in those games, he has two double-doubles and has scored at least 16 points three times.

He’s providing points, rebounds, and assists to managers, and with the state of the Blazers, he should be rostered in 12-team leagues.

Rostered in 15-29% of leagues:

Moe Wagner (PF/C – ORL): 22%

Wagner earned his first start of the season Thursday and came through for the Magic and fantasy managers alike with his 16/5/3 line.

With Wendell Carter Jr. hurting and the Magic wanting to tank yet again, Wagner should have some streaming value going forward.

He’s not good, but you don’t need to be good to carry value in deeper leagues. In six of his last seven games, he’s recording double-digits in points – the majority of those in a limited role off the bench.

Goga Bitadze (C – IND): 19%

Bitadze season is back, folks. He’s the least talented of the slew of Indian big men, but right now, he’s the healthiest one.

Opportunity = production.

With Jalen Smith and Isaiah Jackson both getting hurt, Bitadze should continue to get big minutes for Indiana. The production is there for him, but the fouls are always a concern.

Rostered in 0-14% of leagues:

Nic Claxton (C – BKN): 14%

I will never stop loving Claxton, and I’ll always highlight him when the opportunity presents itself.

Lately, Claxton has made of the most of his latest opportunity, posting mid-round value with minutes in the low 20s.

Even with the limited run, Claxton has proved to be effective, averaging 10.5 points, 7.3 boards, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 STOCKs over his last five games.

Kris Dunn (PG/SG – POR): 4%

Dunn is on a 10-day contract, but with how things are going in Portland, would it surprise anyone if they just sign him to a rest-of-season deal?

In his tiny sample, he’s posting 10th-round value in Portland with seven points, 3.3 boards, 4.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

The end of the season always presents out-of-nowhere value, and Dunn could be one of those players this year.

How to play fantasy league?

This season in the Parimatch Championship of the Nizhny Novgorod region we are again waiting for the fantasy league, which has already managed to catch the fancy of many fans over the past year.

How fantasy league works :

1) A user registers on fantione.com. You can register through Vkontakte with one click, or you can use an email address, but then the mail will need to be confirmed - without confirmation it will not be possible to play fantasy.

2) Then the user searches for the league he needs (the list of active leagues will be on the main page). In our case, this is the Major League of the Championship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

3) After selecting a league, the user goes to its page, clicks "Play" and becomes a member.

4) Next, you need to open the card sets to find out which players can be fielded for the upcoming fantasy tour. You will have 15 sets of cards. Each set contains 5 cards (for each position - point guard, attacking defender, small forward, heavy forward, center).

5) After opening all the cards, ideally, you need to look at what has fallen. There will almost certainly be duplicate cards - duplicates can be removed, leaving only 1 card of the same cards available. When deleted, the user receives points, which can then be exchanged for new sets of cards (1000 points for 1 set). Removal of a simple card - 100 points, removal of a silver card - 200 points, removal of a gold card - 500 points. The difference in the color of the card is the bonuses that are awarded for each useful action by the player. Regular cards have no bonuses, silver cards have 1 bonus, gold cards have 3 bonuses. Bonuses and which cards drop out are all randomly generated. There will always be 1 silver card in one set. Possibility of getting into the gold card set - 10%. You can delete not only duplicate cards, but also cards of players that, in the user's opinion, will not be useful in fantasy, and he will not put them on upcoming rounds. It is impossible to remove a previously played card in one of the rounds. It is also not recommended to delete everything in a row - a situation may occur that there is no player in the position, and then 0 fantasy points will be awarded to the user for this position.

6) When all the cards are open, you need to go to the selection of the composition in the menu. The choice of the composition is 5 players for the next games, one player for each position. You just need to scroll down and choose from among the available cards those that, in the opinion of the user, will be most useful in the next tour. The choice is simple - scroll down, find a card from the available ones, click on it, and it should automatically appear at the top. Click "Save", etc. no need. Everything is saved. Changes to the selected five can be made before the start of the first game in the upcoming round. You can replace an already issued card if the changes are not blocked yet.

7) After choosing the composition, you can go to the prediction league. The League of Predictions is an additional opportunity to earn points for new sets of cards. There you need to guess the outcomes of matches and some random events. Correct predictions go to the overall standings, as well as to the standings of points that can be sprayed.

At the end of all games, the results for the round are processed, and the site in the "Leaders" section displays user data with their five players by fantasy points. And in the section "Statistics" - indicators of fantasy-points of the players of our Championship. By default, summary indicators are opened, but you can switch to a specific tour.

Please note that one round in the Parimatch Championship of the Nizhny Novgorod region lasts 2 weeks, but in the fantasy league we play for a week, so points are calculated every Monday.

You can play the Fantasy League here - https://fantione.com/

Top 10 NBA and basketball apps for Android!

Athletic

ESPN and ESPN+

Feedly

NBA and NBA VR

Reddit

SofaScore

TuneIn Radio

twitter

Yahoo Sports

Bonus: Live TV Apps

There are many ways to interact with basketball. Most of us watch it on TV or listen to it on the radio. Social media and the internet make it easier than ever to see results and the latest trading rumors. Interacting with other fans (or, as the case may be) is easier than ever. There are tons of basketball apps out there and the selection is truly awesome. We think we can help. Here are the best NBA and basketball apps for Android!

There are several apps for individual NBA teams, such as the official Cleveland Cavaliers app. However, these apps are usually quite weak and you'll be better off following the team on social media or using larger sports news sources like theScore, ESPN or Yahoo Sports.

Athletic

Price: free / $9.99/month / $60/year.

Athletic is an old school idea with a modern twist. It covers a variety of sports including the NBA and college basketball. However, there are no ads or other distractions. Athletic uses a paid wall (with a free trial). Thus, it is like subscribing to an old newspaper again. You pay monthly (or yearly) and get unlimited access to an app that has tons of writers who don't have to write with advertisers in mind. This is a unique idea and something else. Their reach is decent, but it's still a young company. It's still one of the best apps in the NBA.

DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY!

ESPN and ESPN +

Price: free / $4.99 per month.

ESPN is a giant sports name and one of the best basketball apps. The main thing here is news, results, statistics and updates. You can find them for college basketball, the NBA, the Olympics, the WNBA, and various other organizations. Plus, ESPN has one of the best fantasy basketball platforms out there. Those with a TV subscription can use WatchESPN (with their cable TV provider login) to watch live sports on their gaming systems, tablets and mobile devices. Finally, ESPN+ is a standalone streaming service with many sports including basketball. Between news, tying into your existing cable subscription, and a standalone streaming app, it's hard not to put ESPN on that list.

DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY!

Feedly

Price: Free

There are tons of blogs about basketball and the NBA. many of them also have their own applications. However, when it comes down to it, we recommend Feedly to people. You can follow multiple basketball blogs at the same time (or whatever else you want). It's a clean one-stop interface and you can follow Yahoo Sports, ESPN, theScore and smaller blogs. This way you won't need all those extra apps at once. Feedly is free with no ads or in-app purchases. It is also cross-platform use. It's a little old school, but it still works well. There is an additional subscription, but you absolutely don't need it to use Feedly to check out NBA blogs.

DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY!

NBA & NBA VR

Price: Free / $28.99 per month / $199.99-249.99 per year.

The official NBA apps are actually pretty decent. The usual NBA app includes scores, news, schedules, updates, deals, rumors, playoff bracket and more. It also allows you to subscribe to its live streaming service, although this is quite expensive. They have subscription options for individual games, individual teams, and two for the entire league. However, they are only available in autumn. There is also an NBA VR app for Google Daydream. It shows you various things like highlights, interviews and more. It's nice to see how sports use the latest technology from time to time. The app is free and it only costs money if you use live streaming, which we don't really recommend. It's really expensive.

DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY!

Reddit

Price: free / $3.99/month / $24.99/year.

Reddit is a great app for basketball fans. The service has a variety of subreddits for basketball, including r/NBA, individual team subreddits, r/CollegeBasketball, r/Basketball, and many more. You can chat with fans, get news, rumors and other information. You can usually also find material from various news sources. During testing, we saw a lot of sources. Lots of word of mouth, but still a good place to connect with other fans of the sport. The app is completely free with ads. There are monthly and yearly subscription options to remove ads and add other features.

DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY!

SofaScore

Price: free / up to $2.99.

SofaScore is a great app for sports fans. It keeps track of results in different leagues and you can check them whenever you want. It includes a simple user interface, some additional features depending on the sport, and covers dozens of leagues around the world. For basketball lovers, the app shows a score graph so you can see a visual representation of how much the team is leading at any given point in the game. In addition, it includes a heatmap of where the players have taken shots. The app is also cheap and very effective.

DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY!

TuneIn Radio

Price: Free / $9.99/month / $99. 99/year.

TuneIn Radio is an application for radio amateurs. It includes many stations, including most of the local AM and FM radio stations. This makes it easy to listen to NBA games and college basketball games on the radio, even if there is no radio nearby. There is a premium service that offers additional coverage of NBA games in real time (along with NFL and MLB games) for 9.99 dollars per month. However, we only recommend this if you really enjoy radio services. The free version with local stations should be sufficient for most people.

DOWNLOAD IN GOOGLE PLAY!

twitter

Price: Free

Twitter is a really terrible place most of the time. However, this is where all the bloggers and players of the NBA, college basketball and basketball players (well, Twitter and Instagram) gather. You can also follow the NBA itself, individual teams, all the blogs and news sites we've already mentioned, and many other personalities. Instagram is also good for tracking individual players, but not for individual teams or writers.

DOWNLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY!

Yahoo Sports

Yahoo Sports is one of the largest apps for the NBA and basketball players. It is also a competitor to ESPN. It covers most sports including college basketball, NBA, WNBA and women's college basketball. That's pretty much all basketball that most people would like to read about. The site has some customization features, notifications, as well as schedules, ratings, highlights, news, deals, and more. Yahoo also has a solid fantasy sports platform with its own app. Both are free with ads.
