Ted Mosby: Are you kidding? If you did all the things on the list, you'd be dead. That's not a chall...

Barney Stinson: Challenge accepted! For the next 24 hours, I will do everything on this list. If I do, Ted will come with me and TP the laser tag.

Ted Mosby: And if you can't?

Barney Stinson: I will listen to you talk about architecture for three hours.

Ted Mosby: Agreed. Robin, will you do the honors?

Robin Scherbatsky: [Holds Ted's and Barney's arms as they shake hands] Gentlemen's agreement!

Barney Stinson: Okay, chumps, let's do this. Barneeey ah-Stinsonnn!

One of the worst episodes of the season.

Season four generally isn't that good. It had some highs and lows but the characters jut seem to be different after season three. Ted especially after what happened with Stella.

I don't understand why episodes this season get the rating they get.

What didn't you know about How I Met Your Mother? Season 8.

    - Pro-KMS

But first I want to warn you that there will be spoilers. So, if you have not seen the 8th and 9th seasons, you better refrain from reading the article.

    Episode 1

When Barney tells Quinn the story of his relationship with Robin, he makes two mistakes. He says that Robin went to Brazil, although she went to Argentina, and that Teda was hit by a bus - in fact, it was Barney himself who was hit by a bus. Apparently after that he had a bad memory.

    Episode 2

In the fifth episode of the sixth season, Ted, Barney, Marshall and Max, who was Robin's boyfriend at the time, were discussing all sorts of weird things about sex in the locker room. Both Barney and Ted hinted that Robin loves something very unusual in bed. And Marshall was still trying to find out from them what she likes to do. In this episode, we learn that Robin looks at herself on the news during sex and even winks at herself.

    3rd episode

When Barney tries to pick up a girl in a bar dressed up as a cop, a sign with his name can be seen saying Longwood. Loosely translated, this means "long length" or "long tree". This is a kind of hint at the size of Barney's dignity.

    Episode 6

Ted's basketball jersey matches the colors of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who play in Ted's home state of Ohio.

When Lily is attacked by another bout of "wanting", she imagines together Robin, Nick and an international student named Nadya. Alyson Hannigan starred in the movie "American Pie", and there was just such a character - Nadia, played by Shannon Elizabeth.

    Episode 8

In one of the flashbacks, Lily whistles a tune as she walks down the street, causing all the street kids to run away. This is a reference to The Wire and the character Omar Little. He also whistled intimidatingly.

    Episode 10

A toy with a handprint can be seen in Barney's Christmas decoration box. Perhaps this is a reference to the movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks. Wilson looked exactly the same there - the ball and part-time, the best friend of the protagonist.

And Barney's Christmas tree has ties instead of decorations.

    Episode 15

Abby Elliott, who plays Jeanette, is Chris Elliott's daughter in real life. And he, as you know, played Mickey Aldrin, Lily's father.

    Episode 16

When Robin and Lily are shown in the future, Robin's left hand is deliberately hidden to hide the fact that her ring finger is missing a wedding ring. The fact is that Robin and Barney in the last episode 9th season will get divorced. No, but what, I warned that there would be spoilers.

    Episode 18

Barney, teaching Ted how to shoot girls, tells him through the earpiece what to say. And this couple has code names. Barney is Iceman and Ted is Neruda. Iceman is a reference to Val Kilmer's character in the 1986 movie Top Gun or Top Gun. In the film, Kilmer's character had the same call sign. And Neruda is Ted Mosby's favorite poet, Pablo Neruda. Ted talked about this in the fourth season.

    Episode 20

The cocktail named after Robin consists of coconut rum, peach schnapps, vanilla vodka, strawberry cream liqueur, cranberry juice, sugar and maraschino cherries. Now you know which drink will be the main one on the New Year's table.

    Episode 23

While playing laser tag, references to the 1994 movie Leon can be seen. The first reference was shown in the scene where Barney gives parting words to his fighters. And one of them asks: “What does the laser tag have to do with it?”, And Barney replies: “With everything!” This is a reference to Gary Oldman's character, who similarly yelled at a colleague. The second reference is noticeable in the scene when Barney is dangling from his weapon, hanging from the crossbar upside down.

Leon himself did the same in the film of the same name.

When Ted comes to help Marshall and Lily with packing, he says, “I came here to chew gum and collect boxes, so I almost chewed the gum ...” He refers to the movie “Strangers Among Us”, where the character Roddy Pipera says: "I came to chew gum and kick ass, and I ran out of gum." Then he kicks the asses of the aliens. And by the way, Roddy Piper is a Canadian wrestler. Well, you understand, Robin is from Canada. Solid parallels!

That's it with the eighth season.
