And in 2017, Broekhoff represented the World All-Star Team at the All-Star Game.

In the most populated city of Australia - Sydney (5 million people) - 3 former players of the VTB United League were born: Nathan Javai, Matt Nielsen and Alex Marich, who, after completing his playing career, returned to his hometown and became an assistant to the head coach of Sydney Kings." In addition, former Tsmoki-Minsk center Ater Madjok studied at the American International School of Sydney.

It is interesting that only two Australians managed to win the VTB United League. In the 2011/12 season, Nathan Javai won silver with UNICS, and Brad Newley won bronze with Lietuvos Rytas. Australians were closest to the winners at the Olympic Games in Seoul (1988), Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000) and Rio de Janeiro (2016). In all four cases, the Boomers finished fourth. In 1988, they sensationally beat the Spanish team in the quarterfinals (77:74), but then lost heavily to Yugoslavia (70:91) and the USA (49:78).
