What is Football Ticket Pull?

Ticket Pull begins the Monday morning of each home game week. Texas A&M Students with a valid sports option will pull tickets according to academic classification. Classification is based on number of hours/years completed at Texas A&M, whichever gives the highest priority.

Students with sports options may pull tickets until the conclusion of Freshman Day during a home game pull.

If ticket inventory is available, students without sports passes (walk-up) may purchase a ticket on Friday by presenting their student ID at the ticket window. Walk-up tickets, when available, cost approximately half the face value of student guest tickets.

Am I able to pick the seats I want?

No. You can pick the deck where you want to stand, but the seats are pulled randomly from the best seats available at the time you pull.

Where can I get non-student tickets?

When you pull your student ticket, you can purchase 1 ticket for a guest to stand beside you in the student section, if available.

How many guest tickets can a student purchase?

Students may only purchase 1 guest ticket per sports pass. Guest tickets may be obtained 1 of 3 ways:

  1. Buy a full price guest ticket each home game week.
  2. Buy the season sports pass that includes the prepaid guest ticket.
  3. Convert a sports pass not being used for a student ticket to a guest ticket.
Am I able to exchange tickets for different or seats together?

No. Once tickets are pulled, there are no refunds or exchanges.

What if I am pulling for more than 10 tickets?

Groups of 11 or more may be pulled Monday & Tuesday each home game week regardless of classification at the designated ticket windows.

What if I need ADA seating?

Seats are available to those students who are not able to stand during games. Special health needs seats are limited and will be filled starting Monday the week of student pull, regardless of classification, at the designated Special Needs window.

When picking up student tickets do I need each student's ID?

No. When picking up student tickets, the person picking up the tickets only needs their ID. We identify this ID as the person that received the tickets. It is against university policy to be in possession of another students ID. Each student will need their ID along with their ticket to gain admission at the game.

What do I need to enter each event?

At football games, you will need your ticket and student ID only. For all other events, you only need your student ID to enter at the designated student entries.

For additional gameday protocols, click here.

Can I use someone else's sport pass?

No. Students use their valid Texas A&M ID to enter events. If you do not have a sports pass you will need to purchase a student walkup ticket at the box office for admittance.

What if I do not have my student ID?

You will not be able to enter events without your current student ID.

What payments do you accept for tickets?

The 12th Man Foundation Ticket Office accepts Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for ticket purchases. We DO NOT accept checks or bill to your student fees.

How can I replace lost or stolen tickets?

Please safeguard your tickets because they are not replaceable.

What do I need to do to drop my sports option?

During registration you can change or drop your sports pass until July 15 through the HOWDY portal. After July 15 you will need to complete this form to make a change.

How can I replace my sports card?

Replacement sports cards are available at the North end of Kyle Field ticket windows near entry 6. Current hours of operation are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Picture ID is required for pickup and there is a $20.00 replacement fee.

Which day do I pull tickets for a group of students with different academic classifications?

At least half of the total tickets needed must be represented by sports passes of that day's academic classification or higher. The remaining half may be of a lower classification. For example, a group with two senior sports passes and 2 freshman sports passes may pull all four tickets on the seniors' ticket pull day (Monday). Note: A sports pass is needed for each student ticket, and the student pulling must have a valid Texas A&M student ID.

Questions About How Ticket Pull Works? Find the Answers Here: : aggies

Given how often questions about this process are asked on this sub, I felt the need to write this up. If you have any questions not answered by this guide, feel free to ask, and I will update accordingly, or at least try to provide an answer.

If you find any errors in the guide, please let me know. I don't want to lead anybody astray here!

HOW TICKET PULL WORKS: The Basics#

  • Each sports pass carries with it a classification based on its owner; Senior (U4), Junior (U3), Sophomore (U2), Freshman (U1). Grad students (U5) count as seniors for all ticket pull purposes.

  • You fit under the BEST classification that you meet the requirements for. The requirements are:

    • U5: Enrolled as a graduate student

    • U4: Enrolled as an undergrad for your 4th year or greater, OR have at least 90 credit hours completed*.

    • U3: Enrolled as an undergrad for your 3rd year, OR have 60-89 credit hours completed*.

    • U2: Enrolled as an undergrad for your 2nd year, OR have 30-59 credit hours completed*

    • U1: Enrolled as an undergrad for your first year, with less than 30 hours completed*

    * All credit hour requirements apply at the start of the season (hours in progress do not count).

  • You may pull up to 10 tickets with a single student ID (to pull more than 10 requires using the group pull window, which has its own rules that I'm not covering in this guide).

  • None of the sports passes need to belong to the person pulling the tickets (The student ID DOES need to belong to the person pulling the tickets - it's a violation of university rules to be in possession of someone else's student ID)

  • Each sports pass grants you 1 student ticket.

  • To be admitted to the game with a student ticket, you need a student ID.

  • Tickets are not "bound" to a a given ID or sports pass; any student ID gets you in with any student ticket.

  • You choose a region you want to pull in, and the computer automatically selects a group of seats for you. No, the person behind the counter cannot pull strings to get you a better seat. Your choices:

    • 1st Deck

    • 2nd Deck

    • 3rd Deck

    • South Endzone

  • Once your tickets are pulled, you cannot reselect, rearrange, or add/subtract tickets. All pulls are final.

HOW TICKET PULL WORKS: When Can I Pull?#

  • Each day of the week has a classification requirement.

  • To pull on a given day, at least half of the tickets you are pulling must be for that day's classification or higher AND the student who is pulling must be that day's classification or higher.

    • Monday: Senior (at least half of the tickets must be pulled on senior or grad student sports passes, and the student pulling the tickets must be a senior or a grad student)

    • Tuesday: Junior (at least half of the tickets must be pulled on junior, senior, or grad student sports passes, and the student pulling the tickets must be a junior, senior, or grad student)

    • Wednesday: Sophomore (recognizing a pattern yet?)

    • Thursday-Friday: Freshman (Everyone with a sports pass can pull Thursday and Friday)

HOW TICKET PULL WORKS: Getting Student Tickets Without a Sports Pass#

  • Walk-up: On Friday, students without a sports pass may buy a ticket by presenting their student ID at the ticket booth.

  • Borrow/Buy a sports pass: You can use someone else's sports pass. You can also "buy" or "rent" one from someone (see warning below).

  • You can also ask someone to purchase a guest ticket for you when they are pulling (See the rules on guest tickets below)

HOW TICKET PULL WORKS: Guest Tickets#

In addition to the student tickets pulled on your sports passes, you may buy one additional guest ticket per sports pass.

  • Guest tickets count toward your total allotment for the pull (maximum of 10).

  • Guest tickets cost 100% of the ticket's face value.

  • Guest tickets must be purchased during your ticket pull.

  • Guest tickets count as sports passes with Freshman classification for purposes of determining pull day.

  • You may convert a student ticket to a guest ticket by purchasing a "guest label."

    • A Guest Label costs 50% of the ticket's face value.

    • A student ticket can be converted to a guest ticket by purchasing a guest label at any time (during or after pull, up until game time).

    • A student ticket conversion has the same classification as the sports pass it is converted from, for purposes of determining pull day.

  • There may be restrictions on buying guest tickets based on demand. There are no restrictions on guest labels (guest conversions).

  • A guest ticket, whether purchased as a guest ticket or converted from a student ticket, does NOT require a student ID for admission to the game.

A WARNING ABOUT SELLING YOUR TICKETS AND/OR SPORTS PASSES#

Selling tickets or sports passes for profit is considered a HUGE no-no. It's generally considered OK to sell them at face value, but if you're caught selling for profit, the university can and will revoke your tickets and your sports pass, and forbid you from buying sports passes or pulling tickets for the rest of your tenure at A&M.

Edit: Added requirements for ticket classifications.
