Fantasy Basketball: Players to target in trades

Jalen Brunson had 15 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds in his first game with the New York Knicks.

The NBA season is officially back, as we saw two of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference and two of the more star-studded and controversial teams in the Western Conference.

Each and every Wednesday, we will be providing players that you should not only look to acquire via trade but also players you should look to trade away.

Since – at the time of this writing – we are dealing with a sample of, well, two games, we will base the values on the below players on their preseason value.

Going forward, we’ll adjust that with the data that we’ve seen so far and build in potential trade scenarios for those you should look to acquire and those you should look to move.

Let’s get to it, and happy NBA season.

Trade For:

Jaren Jackson Jr. (PF, C – MEM)

Jackson was hard to rank heading into the season since he underwent right-foot surgery in June. It’s hard to bet on bigs coming back at a high level right away from foot surgery, but Jackson seems to be ahead of schedule with his progression.

Head Coach Taylor Jenkins said that he expects Jackson to participate in 5-on-5 drills soon, putting him ahead of his potential January return.

What’s more, before the Grizzlies’ preseason games, Jackson was part of the on-court pre-game team session that the Grizzlies do. He was jumping like a guy who was about to play 30 minutes. He looks healthy, and the window to get him cheap will be small.

Rudy Gobert (C – MIN)

This is an opportunity to cash in on the offseason narrative around the Gobert deal. So many people were making fun of the Timberwolves for the number of Draft picks they gave away that can slip into our minds as fantasy players. But don’t be confused here. The deal has nothing to do with the immediate future but rather 2024 and 2025, as well as how it will work in the playoffs.

But because of that, people seem to be fading Gobert a bit, and while he will lose out on some rebounds to Karl-Anthony Towns, the elite defensive and rebounding numbers will still be there for him. The center position thin, so if you can get him at any discount at all, do it.

Jalen Brunson (PG – NYK)

Speaking of the new Knicks guard, don’t be surprised if there is an early discussion about Brunson not being what the team envisioned. Brunson will lead the team and be the first true point guard they’ve had in some time, but he’s not a guy who will go out and average 20 points per game. That’s not his game, and that’s not what the Knicks want him to be.

If that narrative starts to happen, look to acquire him. He’s going to be a really good fantasy option this year, especially if you need help in assists and off-position boards.

Isaiah Hartenstein (C – NYK)

The Knicks made a concerted effort to address their center depth this offseason by retaining Mitchell Robinson via an extension and signing Hartenstein as a free agent.

The Knicks have misused Robinson over the extent of his career, and in some ways, it makes sense, as he hasn’t been the beacon of health and hasn’t developed offensively.

My prediction is that Hartenstein out-earns Robinson this year and will usurp him from the starting and closing lineups for the Knicks. With the center position being so thin, you can get Hartenstein now for cheap before his value soars.

Fantasy Football Trading Deadline Across Platforms [Updated 2021]

Regardless of which platform you play Fantasy Football on, trading deadlines are an important factor. In order to make the most accurate decisions, you need to know the deadlines for the deal.

Dealing with failure wiring is also important. But if you're unlucky with a significant addition at the right time, it won't be easy to influence your team with free agents. Once the trade deadline is over, there is no turning back.

Many of today's major fantasy football platforms have strict standards and deadlines. This article by Scott Fujita will help you find the fantasy football exchange deadline of for your dynasty and goalkeeping leagues. Let's read on to find out!

A good deal can secure a better future for your dynasty

Determining a trade deadline in fantasy football

A trade deadline is something that comes and goes throughout the season. This is the deadline by which deals are approved during the NFL season. Remember that this does not mean that you lose the right to change your squad. Adding and removing a player is still allowed even if the trade deadlines have passed.

The timing of the trade only matters if you're following good players from other squads in the tournament. Take advantage of this to complete your team

Each tournament will have different exchange times. There is even a difference between public leagues and private leagues. It would be helpful if you researched their properties in advance to make the best decision.

It will take several days for the system to complete a transaction in fantasy football leagues. Transactions ahead of time are still considered reasonable. However, the two teams participating in the trade will receive their players much later.

What is stripping?

Skinning is an action that prohibits trading for any leagues

Rollover is a term that refers to using owners who are low on money to create misleading transactions. Many tournaments come with a veto process to help the owners decide. This type of commissioner's veto is like an executive that rejects deals that are too one-sided.

An example of theft is a “damaged merchandise” transaction involving injury to a player or trouble for a trading partner. Injured players can still be a qualified deal if they are determined to return next season and the owner intends to invest long term.

Fantasy Football exchange deadline for different platforms

League settings are different for each platform. While public leagues announce their deadlines publicly, in private leagues they can be customized. Be sure to check with your league commissioner first for the most accurate information.

All public tournaments use the same trading deadline. All trades must be accepted by Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 12:00 pm EST. The deal deadline only applies to deals between teams. Team managers are still free to add and remove players through free agents and waivers throughout the season.

This section will highlight some popular fantasy football exchange timelines on familiar platforms. Check if you are in any of the leagues on this list.

Yahoo Fantasy Football Trade Deadline

The Yahoo Fantasy Football Trade Deadline is November 14th at 11:59 PM PT every year. This timeline applies to their public leagues as well. Yahoo is the platform that sets the earliest deals. They do not allow any activity after Saturday of week 10 of the NFL season.

ESPN Fantasy Football Draft Deadline

ESPN’s Fantasy Football Deal Deadline Set for 19November at 12:00. ET. ESPN also uses it for their league-related public transactions. You can trade until the end of the Wednesday after the 10th week and until the 11th week.

Private Tournaments will have a different schedule when it comes to options available from Weeks 7 to 16. Please check the information carefully to make the right decision.

CBS Sports Trade Deadline Fantasy Football

CBS Sports Trade Deadline Fantasy Football Deadlines are very similar to ESPN. It will end on 19November at 11:59:59 pm ET. This means that the platform allows trading until the end of the game on Thursday night in the 11th week.

CBS Sports Logo

Sleeper Fantasy Football Trade Deadline

Unlike the above platforms, Sleeper does not have a specific trade deadline. Instead, they limit the commissioner's options. The platform allows the commission agent to choose a trading deadline from the 9th to the 13th week. If the commission agent so desires, he will allow no trading deadline at all.

However, Sleepers determines when to lock the settings window. If you choose the 11th week, you will no longer be allowed to trade once the waivers are lifted after the end of the 11th week. Usually this time ends on Wednesday of the corresponding week.

Fantrax Fantasy Football Trade Deadline

Fantrax does not recommend any standard trade deadlines. They provide the commissioner with many options to choose from thanks to a highly customizable format. Don't forget to check your leagues for deals in advance.

Fleaflicker Fantasy Football Trade Times

Like Fantrax, Fleaflicker does not recommend any trade times. With a highly customizable format, they provide trusted individuals with many options when it comes to the timing of transactions. Be sure to check the trade deadlines in your leagues in advance.

MyFantasyLeague Trade Deadline Fantasy Football

MyFantasyLeague is also a free platform and does not require a trade deadline. You can choose the time you like. Remember to check the information to make the most accurate decision.

Why can't you make deals in fantasy football?

Pay attention to your league's trade-in deadline to take appropriate action

The main reason you can't trade is because the league you joined has completed the trade. term. This will prevent you from doing any member trading with other teams. You need to contact and find out information about the timing before participating in the tournament in order to prepare the best team.

It is best to make a decision in advance. This will force others to take action and force them to look for ways to strengthen their playoff teams.

For Dynasty owners, the rules of the game may be slightly different as it lasts for many years. You can talk to an agent and ask for a league vote to resolve the issue.

Closing Thoughts

Make sure you know the platform exchange deadline. you join. This plays a vital role in determining the future and performance of your chosen team.

Each platform will have its own rules and dates. We recommend that you carefully study the types of platforms before making a decision. If the platform you choose has a fixed deadline, write it down so you don't miss out.

I hope this article has given you the information you need about specific trading deadlines. various platforms. If you have any questions about “ Fantasy Football Exchange Deadline ”, don't forget to contact us as soon as possible.

Happy trading!
